Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 187-02, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 187-02, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 564, dated March 20, 2002, change the classification and time element of a Clerk-
Stenographer 3/4 time to Clerk full time.
The change downgrades the classification of HC#3239 from SR-09 to SR-08 and increases the
time element of aClerk-Stenographer from 3/4 time position to a Clerk II full time position
within the Office of Prosecuting Attorney. The full time work of the Federal Victims of Crime
Act counselor warrants full time clerical support, but the work assignment no longer requires
stenography skills.
Funds are available in the Prosecuting Attorney's Victims of Crime Act Regular Salaries and
Wages account.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 187-02
and recommends its adoption.
