Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Reeve (Bob) N. Williams of Council District 1 to
the County of Hawaii Board of Ethics. Mr. Williams is a 30-year resident of
Hawaii and is a retired State of Hawaii high school counselor. He has served as
a fundraising chair for Pahoa High School and has held various positions with the
District and State PTSA. He was an organizer and president of the
Paauilo-Kalopa Community Association, a past director of the North Hawaii
Community Hospital and a past member of the Governor's Public Access
Commission. Mr. Williams has also served with the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine
Corps. Mr. Williams states that he is a member of the Democratic Party and if
confirmed, will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2006.
