Re: Acceptance of Donations

In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which au'~horizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, andwith
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donation:
$15.00 to the Hawaii County Police Department; for its FiIPAL program; by John and
Frances Chipser, 9160 Aerie Lane, Dlaine, Washington 98230.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to this donor.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
