Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Jeffrey W. McCall of Council District 6 to the
County of Hawaii Planning Commission. Mr. McCall is a lifelong resident of
Hawaii and is the owner/manager of McCall Flower Farms. He is the current
director and treasurer of the Ka`u Soil and Water Conservation District, the
current director and secretary for the Big Island Conservation and Development.
He has also served as past director for the Wood Valley Co-op. Other
organizations of which Mr. McCall is a member or past member include the
DIVACO Co-op, Hawaii County Farm Bureau, the Puna Soil and Water
Conservation District, and the Big Island Association of Nurserymen. Mr. McCall
states that he is not affiliated with any political party, and if confirmed, will serve a
term to expire on December 31, 2006.
