Re: Operating Budget
inclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending Chapter 24, Article 4, Section 24-19 of the
Hawaii County Code which relates to vehicle registration fees. This amendment
establishes a new annual County registration fee and increases related vehicle fees. The
County's cost of providing vehicle registration services has risen over the years yet the
fees have remained the same. The annual fee and rate increases are intended to
generate more revenues to maintain these services.
