Several of the current truck tractors are in excess of 10 years of age, have high mileage, incur major repairs, and are approaching the end of their useful life. The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment and therefore request the authority to enter in a lease agreement for five (5) years. REQUEST: Resolution for the financing leasing of four (4) Truck Tractors for a period of five years. B. ~3ACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEFDE~; Replacement equipment is needed for: One (1) 1990 Peterbilt Truck Tractor and three (3) 1991 Peterbilt Truck Tractors, which are in excess of 10 years in age, have high mileage, incurring major repairs and expensive parts and all trucks are approaching the end of their useful life. The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment, and therefore requests the authority to enter into a lease program to fnance the purchase over five years.
