Several of the current refuse trailers are in excess of 11 years of age, require major replacement parts and maintenance, and have reached the end of their useful life. `The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment and therefore request the authority to enter in a lease agreement for five (5) years. RF_QUEST: Resolution for the financing leasing of six (6) 75 cubic yard Refuse Trailers for a period of five years. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE A DITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDIEp~.; Replacement equipment is needed for: One (1) 1989 Pak Mor Refuse Trailer, and five (5) 1991 Brothers Refuse Trailers, all trailers in excess of 11 years of age, require major replacement parts and maintenance, and all trailers have reached the end of their useful life. The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment, and therefore requests the authority to enter into a lease program to finance the purchase over five years.
