RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE Pd~,YMENT OF FUN®S OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR
AN® OF MORE TITAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION
AGREEMENT TO WESTLAW
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other
obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one
fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney rely on their Westlaw subscription for their trial
preparation; and
WHEREAS, their current Westlaw subscription agreement will expire on July 31, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a three (3) year subscription agreement to Westlaw for a
period beginning August 1, 2002 and ending on July 31, 2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED SY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year Westlaw subscription agreement and that sufficient
funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of
the agreement.
EE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmit copies of this resolution to the Mayor's Office,
the Department of Finance, and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
