I have donated funds to heat the pool. Have we met the money needed to keep the pool heated? Is the pool heated all year long? I am sure if the county needed to save money they would not have to heat the pool during the summer/fall months. The county has just started to offer free aerobics to seniors at the pool. Are we paying the instructor? We have a 1.8 million dollar defecit and somehow swimming lessons for free are being given. I am not against the program if we had alot of surplus money. But we do not. Is this the way we spend money we don't have? My family and I have to balance our budget. We go without if we can not afford it. Why is it that the county can not balance their budget? Why do we always have to raise taxes? Do we not have intelligent people in office to look at a plan for our county? It grows tiresome to see the way our money is spent and to read about it everyday in the paper. I am hoping that the representatives for Kona will bring our governsment into the new age istead of the same old stuff. MAhalo, Bonnie Shannon-Moore #tEGEIV'k~ B ilme--------- Y.._-~_ Comm.
