1 notice that only 2 County Council members have their a-mail addresses listed in the County website. I wrote to the
webmaster to suggest that he get all 9 members on the a-mail list. 1 have not heard from him. Do you think you can
ask Mr.. Tyler to see if he can get all 9 council members to list their a-mail addresses on the website?

DEAR MR. TYLER:
1 SUPPORT THE MAYOR'S PROPOSED INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAXES TO RAISE REVENUE FOR THE
COUNTY. THIS MAY BE UNPOPULAR, BUY WE HAVE A MAYOR WHO IS WILLING TO TAKE ON SOME
TOUGH ISSUES.
HAWAII COUNTY PROPERTY TAXES ARE AMONG THE LOWEST IN THE COUNTRY. MOST COUNTIES
RAISE REVENUE THROUGH PROPERTY TAXES. OUR HOUSES ARE UNDERVALUED FOR TAX
PURPOSES. THEREFORE WE DO NOT PAY AS MUCH TAX AS WE SHOULD.
I THINK THE MAYOR'S PROPOSAL IS TIMELY AND APPROPRIATE. I AM HOPING YOU WILL SUPPORT IT.
