RE: puns emergency Access Road
Dear Mayor Kim:
After due consideration during the waiting period for the resolution draft to come from
Mr. Safarik, we held an executive meeting to consider again your two proposals. The result
was a unanimous acceptance of your second proposal to gate the road with availability for
use of emergency vehicles such as fire, police, rescue, ambulance, etc. The only exception
was in the wording, "use of the public for access or egress". Naturally if there is a tidal wave
or lava flow endangering public safety, an escape route during a state of eme~ency is
acceptable.
We hope all parties will be agreeable to this proposal of yours, Mayor Kim, and will
process it with expediency. Mr. Safarik did send us a copy of something that was
unreadable. There were very black 2" letters stamped across the pages that made the
document unreadable. V10hen asked to send a clean copy he suggested we go ahead a n~
approve it anyway. I made that mistake once, your Honor, and I'll not do it again. The board
has approved the above 100% and if a proposal is sent to the council as stated here there
should be no problem.
These past few weeks have been a pleasure to work with you and I feel we have
accomplished a lot in a relatively short time. Again, thank you on behalf of the entire Ainaloa
Community.
