Re: Acceptance of Donations
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donation:
fiwo (2) 6-foot hi-back recycled plastic park benches (estimated value of $577.50) to the
Department of F~arks & Recreation, for the V1b'est Hawaii Veterans Cemetery, by the Rotary
Club of Kona, c/o Barbara KaSS®w, 75-5706 Kuakini Hwy, Suite 103, Kailua-Ilona, Hawaii
96740.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
