(Comm. 638) REFERRALS Comm. 619: APPOINTMENT OF SUSAN SHIRACHI GONSALVES AND SARAH K. TOGASHI TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN From Mayor Harry Kim, dated Apri126, 2002, informing he has appointed the following to the Committee on the Status of Women: Ms. Susan .Shirachi Gonsalves of Council District 1 is a 33-year resident of Hawaii and is currently employed by the University of Hawaii at Hilo as the Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator and Disability Services Director. She is also a member of Disability Rights Hawaii and the East Hawaii Coalition of Youth. Not affiliated with any political party, she will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005. Ms. Sarah K. Togashi of Council District 3 is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and is retired from service with the County and State of Hawaii . Ms. Togashi is currently a director of the Hilo Lions Club and secretary for the Kea`au/Kula Kumiai. She is also a member of the W.H. Shipman Advisory Commission and the Kea`au Nutrition Center. A member of the Democratic party, she will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005. (Note: These appointments do not need Council's confirmation.)
