Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 208-02, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 208-02, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 605, dated April 17, 2002, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more
than one fiscal year for the renewal of the Corporation Counsel Family Support Division's Kona
Office lease.
The Office of the Corporation Counsel Family Support Division wishes to renew its lease
agreement at a Haleki`i Street building in Kealakekua, Hawaii from Calvin and Amy Hata. The
County will be fully reimbursed for the entire office lease cost by the State of Hawaii Child
Support Enforcement Agency.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 208-02
and recommends its adoption.
