My .family opposes this proposal of a connecting road. The safety of our
children are at stake and the added noise will be disturbing.
There are many young ones in this subdivision that stay within its boundaries
to play with other kids. Whether walking to friends/family homes, to the
park, or just hanging on the side, these areas are their playground. ~16~ith the
added congestion of cars, it puts them in a more vulnerable position to take
extra precaution to erssure their safety.
Another factor is that of people who use this roadway to reverse out of their
driveway. In the lower part of the subdivision, there are blind spots that have
proven to be hazardous. Cars already use high speeds. They could be
blindsided by someone who is not familiar with this road and who will not
take precaution in unfamiliar territory.
Creating a connector road will only create congestion to a road that
sufficiently supplies enough room for the subdivision itsef. Not only will this
connector road provide access for your development but also to those in the
surrounding communities who will without doubt use this road as a "short
cut" to get to Alii I3rive, to Pottery Terrace and other areas that would reduce
driving time using this road.
We value our home, children, and neighborhood. Don't change anything that
has been here for many decades. Infringe on the rights of your development
to make the needed changes. Inconvenience the people of your development,
Take care of what is yours and leave ours alone.
