BOARD OF ETHICS
From Mayor Harry Kim, dated June 18, 2002, submitting for confirmation the
nomination of Ms. Sharon L. Cislo of Council District 9 to the County of Hawaii
Board of Ethics. A 25-year resident of Hawaii, Ms. Cislo is currently a Hight
attendant with Northwest Airlines. A member of the Republican Party, if
confirmed, she will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2004, replacing
Ms. Deborah Baker, who has resigned.
Comm. 671: APPOINTMENT OF CLAYTON K. YUGAWA AS COUNTY OF HAWAII
DATA SYSTEMS DIRECTOR EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1 2002
From Mayor Harry Kim, dated .Tune 19, 2002. submitting for confirmation the
nomination of Mr. Clayton K. Yugawa as County of Hawaii Data Systems
Director, to take effect on September 1, 2002. A Verizon Hawaii Inc., (formerly
UTE Hawaiian Tel) employee since 1987, Mr. Yugawa has had extensive
experience with telecommunication networks and computers, as well as
management responsibility. Il~confirmed, he will serve a term co-terminus with the
Mayor, which will end on December 6. 2004. A copy of his resume is attached.

Comm. 102.40: MARIJUANA ERADICATION MISSION REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF
MAY 2002
From Assistant and Acting Police Chief Thomas Hickox, dated June 7, 2002,
transmitting the above report, as required by Resolution 46-01. The Hawaii Police
Department conducted marijuana eradication missions on May 20-22, 2002 in East
Hawaii and May 29-30, 2002, in West Hawaii. The attached reports indicate the
number of plants eradicated and the number of complaints received from the
public, the type of complaint and the complaint disposition.
