Chair Yagong and members of the Council Committee on Parks and Environmental Mari~gement
I would like to submit this brief statement in support of Barbara Bell's appcaintmont as
Director of the Department of Environmental Management. Over the past year as Co-Chair of
the Environmental Management Commission, Barbara has demonstrated that she understands the
issues, county government and the community. Barbara will help to introduce new= ideas to
environmental management and bring about needed changes. She works well with people and
knows how to get things done. She will work tirelessly on behalf of the people of I-€awai i and
our environment.
