To the esteemed Chairman and Members of the County Council, County
of Hawaii. May 20, 1997
VISION NUMBER 1 - Sustainable Society - Characteristics
- New Paradigm
- Behaving as if the God in all Life matters
- Be a vital part of the Ha, the Wai and the I, of the highest
order for the highest good.
- Ua Mau Ke Ea 0 Ka Aina I Ka Pono
- A healthy exchange of giving and receiving
- Engaged Citizenry, Self respect and dignity
- Emulating Nature
- Sustainable Communities. Manifestation, Example, Teaching. For
instance one in each ecosystem. Living universities for young
and old. An example for the rest of the planet.
- Cottage Industries, treeless paper
- Farming on small scale, diversified agriculture and permaculture.
- Aquaculture
- Spirulina
- That which is good locally, is also good globally
- Power with
- Instilling pride and a feeling of community
- Fluid management, true cooperation, sharing, fun.
- Discernment, respect, compassionate understanding, integrity.
- Building a food dehydrator, run with solar energy, to produce for
instance Papaya Energy Bars with organically grown papayas
from Hawaii, ginger from Hawai°i, spirulina from Hawai i.
- Vital Health
- Love is a state of being. LOVE IS.
- Progressive spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Wouldn't you feel proud and wholesome to be a part of Vision Number
One? Wouldn't this be a great deal of fun for all of us together,
including our children and elderly? And all it takes is a change of
heart and a shift in consciousness. A matter of choice based on
free will. Why waste time to even contemplate something else?
And Pooh and Piglet would look at one another and would say: "Isn't
it elevenish? Time for a smackerell of something, like a lick of
that good Hawaiian Honey. The Hawaiian Bees do not have a virus
yet, a commodity to be valued in and of itself.
VISION NUMBER 2 - Unsustainable Society - Characteristics
- Old paradigm
- Separation from God
- Everything goes, the greedier the better
- Short term land management - take out what you can until all
resources are gone. Use poison and toxic chemicals.
- Persuaded Populace
- Governing and altering Nature

- Urban sprawl. No 'people feel good' designs. Designs based on
quick development and turn around of money.
- Large industries that use chemical and toxic sprays to even more
deplete the land.
- Monocropping that promotes viruses, depleting of the soil and air
and no regeneration.
- Global free trade is instilling a resurgence of barbaric and
cruel practices, seemingly glamorous to a few. Capitalism is
still very immature.
- Hierarchy
- Power over and manipulation. Without respect for self or others.
- Fear and Ignorance
- Greater military presence
- Building a food irradiator. Exporting inferior food and store the
nuclear waste in somebody else's backyard.
- Depleting Health.
- Love is something we just every so once in a while do, when it is
convenient and when we get something. Love is something we do.
- Retrogressive and numbing to the spirit.
ARE YOU REALLY ATTACHED TO VISION NUMBER 2? Think, think, think,
. Pooh would say. And Piglet would say the Heffalump will
take care of this, he remembers everything. And he is in it
together with Pele.
We are living in the 3rd dimension, the furthest removed from God
and yet we are asked to remember his/her energy. All of us are in
that sense to be recommended for our courage, because all of us
came once upon a time from God. We have been given free will in
this dimension and the constant learning process of duality, a
mirroring of black and white, male and female, positive and
negative, light and dark, good and bad and we learn through these
mirrors who we are, where we are at and what our motivation is. We
can be in both, in either, rise above it all or zen our way
through.
Keep in mind that if the heart is not there, the brain does not
matter. God has his/her seat in the Heart. The heart is not the
seat of the emotions; they have their seat in the area just below
the diapraghm. And feeling is a balanced combination of thought and
emotion.
And together we can build .
