Dear Mr. Yamada:
Re: L.T.M. Corporation dba Civil-Mechanical Contractors vs. County of
Hawai 'i; Civil No. OD-1-0163
Thank you for discussing the above-referenced matter with me on July 5, 2002.
As you know, on July 3, 2002, the County Council deferred action on this case
until July 31, 2002. The reason for the deferral was because of the absence of four of its
members.
On July 31, 2002, the County Council will hear the above-referenced matter in
executive session. At the executive session, only the County attorneys and officials are
allowed to attend the closed session. Although you presented a statement on behalf of
your clients to those council members present at the July 3 meeting, your clients may still
present statements to the County Council concerning the instant case during the period
when public testimony is allowed. -
The County Council commences at 9:00 a.m. Because there are many items on the
agenda, we do not know the exact time in which the public testimony and the executive
session will start.
