HERi:AS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WI-iImREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for five (5) years for
one (1) copy machine for the Department of Planning's West Hawaii Office; and
1~l~IERIRAS, their current copy machine is eight (8) years old, requires frequent servicing, and the vendor
has increasing difficulty locating replacement parts; and
WI°t~RIsAS, acquisition of this machine will meet the expanding needs of the West Hawaii Office, staff,
and area.

1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement of a
copy machine for the Department of Planning's West Hawaii Office.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
