Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for a copy machine for the Department of Planning's West Hawaii Office. The copy
machine currently being used is ~ years old, requires frequent servicing, and the vendor
has increasing difficulty locating replacement parts.

Resolution to allow the Planning Department to enter into amulti-year lease for an intermediate volume copy

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED:
Tle current copier in the West Hawaii Office is 8 years old and was previously used in the Hilo office for 5 of
those 8 years. High, daily use during those first 5 years added to its current poor and :unreliable condition. It
requires frequent servicing and the vendor has increasing difficulty locating replacement parts. it is no
lo;~ger able to meet the expanding needs of the -Kona Office, staff and area. The lease cost is included in the
new FY 2002-03 budget.
