WH~42Ee4S, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more fihan one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
01NQ-t~REAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for five (5) years for
one (1) copy machine for the Department of Civil Service; and
IiVFlE12EAS, their current copy machine is over eight (8) years old, is unable to perform certain functions,
and requires frequent service calls; and
IOVH~R~AS, acquisition of this machine should increase the productivity and efficiency of the department.

1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement of a
copy machine for the Department of Civil Service.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
