Your Committee on Parks & Environmental Management, to which was referred Communication
No. 693, reports as follows:
Communication No. 693 is transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated July 17, 2002, nominating
George Yamamoto to the Hawaii County Veterans Advisory Committee.
Mr. Yamamoto is a retired police officer and real estate salesman and is a lifelong resident of
Hawaii. Mr. Yamamoto served as a volunteer with the Hospice of Hilo, and is not affiliated
with any political party. If confirmed, Mr. Yamamoto will serve a second term as the Hilo
Interpreters Club representative to the Hawaii County Veterans Advisory Committee.
Your Committee on Parks and Environmental Management recommends the approval of the
nomination of George Yamamoto to the Hawaii County Veterans Advisory Committee.
