Dona in ®rder to Assure and Protect the Biotic Integrity and Market
Value of Pure Iona Coffee
Attached for your consideration, please find a resolution supporting a moratorium on the
release and planting of genetically modified (GM) coffee in the North and South Kona
districts.
T'he resolution has been prepared in close consultation with the Kona Coffee Council and
other Kona farm organizations. I welcome its referral to and discussion in my
Committee on Human Services and Economic Development. Please do not hesitate to
