Purpose of Grant:
To provide information, assistance, and support services to the victims of and
witnesses to crimes committed in the State of Hawaii.
Goals:
1) to enhance the quality of justice by satisfying the emotional and social needs
of crime victims and witnesses; and
2) to increase the willingness of victims and witnesses to cooperate with the
police and prosecutors after they have reported or witnessed a crime.
Strategies and Activities:
See attached reports for July -December 2001 and January -June 2002.
