Re: Bills 213 and 220(draft 3)
~nry Council
Dear Members of the County Council
Citizens for Equitable and Responsibly Government (CERG} polleci its membership to determine
their positions on Dills 213, relating to pre-existing lots and 220 (dY•aft 3), relating to Condominium
Property Regunes. Remarkably, there has been unprecedented unanimous suppc;rt for both of these
bills from our membership.
In addition, members of CERG made statements that:
1) their quality of life has suffer~'~ as a result of building densities exceeding approved zoning,
as well as from an increasing 1 sck of infrastructure to suppc•rt zoning, rezoning, and
development already approves.,
2) they support any legislation that furti-rer strengthens the ability of the Planning Department to
enforce County subdivision, zoning 'and land use caws, rules, and regulations,
3) they are increasingly frustrated by a perceived delay in the consideration of the Planning
Director's proposed revised G.nerai Plan supported by an overwhelming majority.
As such, CERG strongly urges the Council t;~ acknowledge the desires of what we believe to be a
majority of your constituents. Please pass tl~e current versions of these bills and ttte revised General
Plan, as currently proposed, without farther delay or consideration of a few individuals and special
interests whose motivations are nat in keeping with the best interests of the community or the general
public.
Sincerely,
C~
