Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Anne R. Flack of Council District ~ to the
County of Hawaii Environmental Management Commission. Ms. Flack is a
12-year resident of Hawaii and is currently retired. She is a co-founder of the
Hilo Outdoor Circle, and has served as its president, vice president, secretary
and treasurer. In 2001, she headed the litter collection pick-up campaign for the
County of Hawaii. If confirmed, she will replace Ms. Barbara Bell who resigned,
and will serve a term to end on December 31, 2003. Ms. Flack states the she is
not affiliated with any political organization.
