Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for a copy machine for the Department of Public Works Administration Office. The copy
machine currently being used is over 9 years old, requires frequent service calls, and
the replacement parts are difficult to locate. An evaluation of a lease agreement has
shown it to be more cost efficient.

Works.

Resolution to allow the department to enter into amulti-year lease for a copier for the
Department of Public Works Administration Office.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED:
The Department's current copier is 9 years old. The replacement parts are difficult to locate as
the copier has become obsolete. An evaluation of a lease agreement has provided us information
that a lease is more cost efficient (less maintenance and overage fees).
