19111-IERIlAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other
obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one
fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
~6Fi~i2l~~S, the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center is providing Hawaii County with the
equipment necessary for the automated booking system at the Hilo and Kona Police stations; and
'~!I-t~REt4S, the County must now absorb the cost of the maintenance and will be entering into a
four-year agreement with Sagem Morpho, Inc.

1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year agreement with
Sagem Morpho, Inc. for the maintenance of the automated booking system.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
