Honorable James Arakaki, Chairman
Hawaii County Council
County of Hawaii
25 Aupuni Street
Hilo, Hawaii 96720
Dear Chairman Arakaki:
On behalf of the local Chapters of the Farm Bureau and the
state-wide Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, I would like to thank
you for the level of leadership and commitment you have shown for
our Eig Island's expanding diversified agricultural sector by
affording the opportunity to construct a post-harvest irradiation
facility, in East Hawaii. Such a facility will be one of the
critical tools necessary to put our agricultural lands to
procu^tive use and move our products into the global market place
in a competitive manner.
We ask for your continued support in this matter, as we work
together to forge a new agriculture for the Big Island.
Si-~ncerely,
i,arry Nalcamcto
