classification plan; and Section 1, 3-6(d) which designates the Legislative Auditor he
allowed to appoint and employ two non-civil service positions and the legislative
analyst position, which shall be subject to civil service laws and classifications. }

Bill 252: Amends Chapter I5, Article 17, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 ((995 Edition),
relating to Veterans Advisory Committee adding Military Order of the Purple Heart
and deleting Subsection (g). {The Military Order of the Purple Heart, Hilo
Chapter #731, in June 2002, received its recognition charter to congressionally
chartered Military Order of the Purple Heart of the United States of America, Inc.
Recognizing this newly chartered veterans organization, they would like to increase
membership of the Veterans Advisory Committee to 16 in order to include a
representative of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Furthermore, deletes
Subsection (g) of Section 15-62 which is no longer necessary. }

(1995 Edition) relating to the Minimum Tax.
{Raises the minimum of the Homeowners Class from $25 to $100. Allows a property
owner receiving a Home Exemption or Totally Disabled Veteran Exemption that
results in the minimum tax, and the assessed value of improvements is less than or
equal to $75,000 to have a minimum tax of $75, $50 or $25, depending on the value of
improvements. }
