In response to your letter dated June 13, 2002, and the subsequent meeting with Nancy
Surns of your staff and Craig Luke of R.M. Towill on June 26, 2002, the Housing ar~d
Corrsmuriitge development C®rporation of Hawaii (h1CDCH) is satisfied that our concerns
have been addressed and mitigated.
1. The proposed 1~4'-1" by 9'-10" drainage culvert discharging adjacent to our
project has been eliminated and consequently the conderranation of the portion of
our property fior the proposed drainage culvert has been withdrawn.
2. The dust during construction will be mitigated by a dust screen. Nancy ~iurns
assured us that the dust gars®rated by the traffic will be minimal because the
proposed highway has beers redesigned to be a parkway.
3. The ressalts of the noise sts.sdies indicate that the traffic n®ise pr®jected up to the
year 2020 are below the LJ.S. bepartment of Mousing and Urban ~3eveloprraent
