Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Ms. Suellen Tanaka to the
County of Hawaii Committee on the Status of Women.
Ms. Tanaka, of Council District 3, is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and is the Vice
President and Manager of T & T Electric, Inc. She has served as past board
member for the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, and the Hilo Zonta
Club. She has also served as the emergency preparedness specialist for the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ainaloa Ward.
Ms. Tanaka will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005, replacing
Ms. Sarah Togashi who resigned. She states that she is not affiliated with any
political party.
