Re: Bill No. 263-Alii Drive Improvements >
Dear Mr. Chung:
i
My wife and I are residents of Hawaii County and live at Country Club Villas
in Keauhou. I am also a member of the Keauhou Outreach Groups's Traffic
Study Committee. Because my wife is president of the Association of
Apartment Owners of Country Club Villas, she has received a number of
expressions of concern from CCV residents regarding the potential impact of
the Mamalahoa Bypass Road upon traffic flow, ingress and egress and traffic
noise upon those living on the segment of Alii Drive described in Stuart
Lowry's recent letter to you.
We strongly support the adoption of Bill No. 263 and the installation of the
improvements identified in Mr. Lowry's October 1 letter describing the
proposed mitigation measures recommended by the KOG's Traffic Study
Committee. We believe that these measures are vital to the preservation of
the residential nature of the projects in Keauhou, and especially those that
border Alii Drive.
Thank you for the opportunity to submit this written testimony.
Very truly yours,
John Harris
