As a member ofAsh--Action on Sana~king and Health --I oouid present much
of the ia~o~xzation I receive from them in my testimony. As ;a non-smoker
who as exereanely sensitive to STS--envixoaamental tobacco smoke---my
testimony is pertinent to any possible caws reducing-that exposure. Also
I am the widow of a heart attack victim who was anon-smoker with a
heaithy, strong physique whose heart damage was caused at feast
partia:Ily by STS. Studies reported in 3AA~A. show that exposure to STS (in
a resturaa~t~ for as lithe as 30 min. can damage anon-smokers heart to
the point of risk for heart attack the wane as a smokers. There are
are many others with sensitivity to tobacco smoke and soave, like I aan ,
who wit go into anaphalectic shock with any continual cxposaare. ETS is
acutely dangerous to me and certainly to alI others on a longer term
basis.
