ERWAY TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COMMISSION From Mayor Harry Kim, dated October 8, 2002, submitting for confirmation the appointment of Marjorie A. Erway of Council District 7 to the Hawaii County Environmental Management Commission. Ms. Erway is a 8-year resident of Hawaii and is a retired registered nurse. She is not affiliated with any political party and, if confirmed, will replace Peter Martin, who resigned, and will serve a term ending on December 31, 2002. P&EMC-29 -2- October 22, 2002 Comm. 730.1: From Barbara Bell, Director, Department of Environmental Management, dated August 28, 2002, transmitting copies of letters from Carol Perry, dated August 26, 2002; Ed Johnston, dated August 28, 2002; and from Luana Jones, EMC, dated August 27, 2002; and a copy of a Letter to the Editor, Hawaii Tribune-Herald, dated August 28, 2002, from Albert Shepherd of Kamuela, regarding the Addendum to the Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan. Comm. 730.2: From Barbara Bell, Director of Environmental Management, dated September 4, 2002, transmitting comments from the public regarding the Addendum to the Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan received at their August l9, 2002 Kailua-Kona, August 20, 2002 Hilo, and August 20, 2002 Waimea Public Meetings. Also, comments on the Addendum from David Kimo Frankel and response to Mr. Frankel's comments from Ronald L. Soroos, Principal Geologist, Harding ESE.
