Dear Councilman Arakaki and Members of the County Council:
Enclosed for your review is a the new Project Data/Financial Impact Statement and map for
the Ali`i Improvement Project. The total estimated expenditure is $5,000,000. They include
Planning/Environmental Assessment, Design/Survey, Land Acquisition and Construction for
$250,000, $250,000, $500,000 and $4,000,000, respectively. The expected source of funds
will come from the county for $1,400,000 (20%) and the federal government for $3,600,000
(80%).
