The Office of Aging has allocated the $45,000 to the CSE's transportation program to replace and purchase a vehicle for the program. And, the Department of Human Services increased the Chore Agreement for Hawaii County by $13,442, to supplement the current salaries and wages budget of CSE. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): Council action is needed to amend the Coordinated Services Operating Budget to accomodate increases in Federal and State funding. The Office of Aging has allocated $45,000 to the CSE transportation program to replace and purchase a vehicdle for the program. The Department of Human Services increased the Chore Agreement for Hawai°i County by $13,442 for the period 10/1/02 - 6/30/03. ($5,377 for West Hawaii and $8,065 for East Hawaii) This additional amount in State grant funds will supplement the current salaries and wage budget of Coordinated Services. It will enable Coordinated Services staff to provide in-home chore services (routine housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, marketing, shopping assistance, personal care, errand and escort services) to an increased number of seniors.
