Your Committee on Parks & Environmental Management, to which was referred Communication
No. 731, reports as follows:
Communication No. 73l is transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated August 29, 2002, nominating
Ms. Anne R. Plack of Council District 4 to the Hawaii County Environmental Management
Commission.
Ms. Plack is a 12-year resident of Hawaii and is currently retired. She is a co-founder of the
Hilo Outdoor Circle. and has served as its president, vice president. secretary and treasurer. In
2001, she headed the litter collection pick-up campaign for the County of Hawaii. if confirmed,
Ms. Plack will replace Ms. Barbara Bell who resigned, and will serve a term to end on December
3 l , 2003.
Ms. Plack states that she is not affiliated with any political organisation.
Your Committee on Parks and Environmental Management recommends the approval of the
nomination of Ms. Anne R. Plack to the Hawaii County Environmental Management
Commission,
