Re: Acceptance of Donations
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donations:
Four (4) computers (total estimated value of $1,400.00) to the Department of Parks &
Recreation, for public use at Na`alehu Nutrition Center, by the N a`alehu Main Street, Marge
Elwell, President, P.O. Box 107, Na`alehu, Hawaii 96772.
$30.00 to the Department of Parks & Recreation Kona Community Aquatic Center, to cover
electricity expenses, by Pat M. Aeder, 731501 La`akea Street, Kailua-bona, Hawaii 96740.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donors.
