The Office of the Corporation Counsel requests-the above case be placed on the
next Council agenda for attorney-client discussion is executive (closed) session.
This request is made pursuant to Sections 92-5(a)(4) and (8), Hawaii Revised
Statutes, as amended, and is made for the reason we anticipate discussion
regarding documents which conta~rl confidential: communications between
special counsels and the'sr respective clients. The legs! billings submitted to our
office and which will be provided to the Council contain such information, and
disclosure is prohibited by court rule (the Hawaii Rules of I~rofessional
Responsibility).
Further, we anticipate fielding questions from the Council regarding the Council's
powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities.
