COUNCIL 1~IEIVIDER DOl@~IIN~C YAGONG FOR IIIS SERVICE TO TIIE
COUNTY OF ~IAWt~.I`I.
WIIEREAS, Dominic Yagong has been a Council Member of the County
of Hawaii since 1996 representing Council District 1, North Hilo and Hamakua;
and
WIIEREAS, during these past six years, Council Member Yagong has
participated on all standing committees and served as Chair of the Committee on
Parks and Environmental Management (2000-2002), Vice Chair of the
Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental IZelations (2000-2002),
Chair of the Committee on Public Works and Parks (1996-2000), and Vice
Chair of the Committee on Human Services and Economic Development (1996-
1998); and
WIIEREAS, Council Member Yagong will complete his term on
December 2, 2002.
NOW, TIIEREF'ORE, DE IT RESOLVED DY `I'1FIE COUNCIL OF
TI-IE COUNTY OF I~AWAI`I that it hereby extends its gratitude to Council
Member Dominic Yagong for his many years of service together with best
wishes for continued health, success and prosperity.
