No. 2~7-02 PLACE: Councilroom TIME: 9:39 a.m. Chair and Members Piawai`i County Council Milo, Hawaii 96720 Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred Communication No. 750 and attached Resolution No. 247-02 reports as follows: Communication No. 750 from Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase transmits for Council consideration Resolution Nos. 245-02, 246-02 and 347-02, accepting the dedication of lands from the Hawaii Island YMCA, Towne Keauhou LLC, and the Kamehameha lnvestment Corporation for the Kahului-Keauhou Parkway project in North Kona. Resolution No. 247-02, states that Kamehameha Investment Corporation is the owner of parcels 19, ? 1, 22a, 24 and 25, situated at Kahalu`u and Keauhou 1 st, North Kona, identified as Tax Map Keys: (3) 7-8-010-002 (portion), 7-8-010-0 ~5 (portion), and 7-8-010- 093 (portion). Pursuant to Condition G of Ordinance No. 98-30, the Kamehameha Investment Corporation is required. at no cost, to dedicate parcels 19, 21, and 22a to the County of Hawaii for the Kahului-Keauhou Parkway project. Parcels 34 and 2> are additional parcels Kamehameha Investment Corporation has agreed to donate for this project. Exhibit "A" a map further delineating the parcels and Exhibits "B" and "C", dedication deeds, are also attached to this resolution. Your Committee first considered this matter at a meeting held October 8, 2002. At the request of Councilmember Nancy Pisicchio. action on this resolution as well as related legislation was deferred until today's meeting. At today's meeting, Communication 750.01 from Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase was received and circulated. This letter transmitted second drafts of Resolution Nos. 245-02, 246-02 and 247-02 for the Council's review. During discussion, Mr. Takase explained that changes to these resolutions included only a name change from Alii Highway to the Kahului-Keauhou Parkway and the renumbering of exhibits. No changes were made to the deed content. Councilmember J. Curtis Tyler 1[I voted Kanalua times two.
