These additional funds will he used to continue the used oil collection program as the State of
Nawai`i, Department of Health has increased the total amount of compensation.
Pursuant to Section 46-7. Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b). Ha~~ai'i Count
Charter, the Mayor is already authorized to apply for, receive and espcnd the h?nds t~~r thi~,
program identified in the Operating Budget.
During its discussion. Your Committee learned that the used oil collection program is just for
motor oil.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of 13111 No. 267 and
recommends it pass first reading.
