Bill No. 276, transmitted .jointly with Resolution No. 260-02 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 795, dated October 21, 2002. amends Ordinance
No. 02-76, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30. 2003. The amendment is as
follows:

OIO-141-5141.53 Flood Hazard Mitigation General X35,400
These funds will be used to develop a flood hazard mitigation plan for the County of Hawaii.
focusing on structures that have received repetitive flood losses.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the
program(s) identified in Section 1.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 27G and
recommends it pass first reading.
