No. 02-76, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 200 The amendment is as
follows:

Layer Project
These funds will be used to develop a GIS street layer for the entire County of Hawaii. The G[S
street layer is essential to analyze evacuation capabilities and for the 91 1 emergency systems.
"the street layer is a kev component to develop the Hazard Mitigation Plan for the County of
Hawaii.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(h), Ha~~ai`i Count.
Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for. receive and expend the fiends for the
program(s) identified in Section 1.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 274 and
recommends it pass first reading.
