No one can deny that smoking cigarettes is harmful not only to the person who smokes but to the innocent victims that must breathe this second hand smoke. It has been found that second hand smoke is even more harmful because it is not filtered as is the smoke when inhaled by the smoker. However, my personal testimony is not about these effects. It is about the way the smoke makes me feel. I am not a " holier than thou" ex-smoker. I do not place any judgment. On people that continue to smoke,. I become actually sick when I smell smoke. I do not Ask to be this way, it just happens. It has caused me to be unsociable when I am in a group where someone is smoking. And because of my reaction to tobacco, on many occasions I have had to leave a restaurant, unable to finish my meal because of the smell of smoke. Needless to say, I no longer am able to enjoy my food at restaurants and have resorted to taking food home so that I do not have to become nauseated during my meal. I am the one being treated as a second class citizen. I Ebel that my rights to breathe air that does not make me ill has been taken away from me. I would like to live a "normal" life and enjoy going out to dinner The same thing happens to me when I step out of an airline terminal and have to walk through clouds of smoke to get wherever I need to go. I often wish that there could be smoking booths for smokers so that we non-smokers can also enjoy our lives. Thanks you for your kind attention. Sincerely, andra Daniels P.O.
