RE: Irradiation Facility Hearing dd 4/24/97
Please register my support for this facility. The economic benefits flowing from such
a facility far outweigh the concerns expressed by a vocal minority. As I understand
it, all produce treated must be labelled as such. It can therefore be easily avoided
by those who feel their health inay be threatened.
If the Council feels that there are insufficient funds for the capitalization of this
project, then at least vote to approve any permit application filed by the private
sector.
