I read in the Tribune <br /> Herald that private companies are willing to fund such a venture and that they can do <br /> so with less capital outlay. This seems reasonable to me. Although I would never <br /> knowingly eat food processed in this manner, I believe everyone is entitled to the <br /> cancer of their choice. The consumers choice will be made in the market place, <br /> however, the county taxpayer should not be subsidizing a forced choice. I am also <br /> disturbed at the elusive labeling used with these produces." Irradiated fruit "would be <br /> more honest. Whatever, you choose to call it.
