Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 810 and attached Resolution No. 264-02, reports as follows:
Communication No. 810 dated October 30, 2002, is Isom Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase. transmitting
Resolution No. 264 for the Council's review.
The purpose of Resolution 264-02 is to authorise the County of Hawaii to enter into grant of easements f~~r access and
utility purposes for the parcel specifiically identified as Tax Map Key No: (3) 7-9-009:045. Owners/parties to the
easements include the following: Adele A.Yamagata and Kevin 1-iarrington (Lot 24); Adele A.Yamagata (Lot 25):
Richard A. Matsumoto, Trustee of the Richard A. Matsumoto Trust, dated May 27. 1992, and Akemi Matsumoto, Trustee
of the Akemi Matsumoto Trust Agreement dated May 27, 1992 (Lot 28): Paulino P. tampon and Felisa T. tampon,
Trustees of the tampon Family Revocable Living I rust (Lot 26); Nannette K. Harrington and John W. Doolittle (Lots ~i5
and 50); Sukeji Yamagata, Trustee of the Sukeji Yamagata Revocable Living Trust, dated February 8. 1992, and Betty
Toshiko Yamagata, Trustee of the Betty Toshiko Yamagata Revocable Living Trust, dated February 8, 1992 (Lot 33) and
Lance D. Dassance, Leland Michael Everett and Ida Iliff Perkins (Lot 3 I Exhibit "A". Easement Agreeirents and
documents further delineating the parcel are also attached to the resolution.
At this meeting, Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase fielded questions about the history of the subject parcel.
Councilmember J. Curtis Tyler, III also disclosed to members of the Committee that the individual who pr;,pared the
survey documents attached to Resolution 264-02 was his first cousin. Mr. Takase reassured Committee members that this
relationship did not constitute a conflict.
Your Committee on Public l~Jorks and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution
No. 264-02 and recommends its adoption.
